The Microsoft Platform Automation Engineer will design and develop automation solutions to improve operational workflows, collaborating with stakeholders to build tools and integrate systems within the technology ecosystem.
Responsibilities:
- Design and build automation solutions that streamline operational workflows and reduce manual effort
- Develop and maintain tools using enterprise productivity platforms and automation frameworks
- Create workflow automations, dashboards, and applications to support internal business operations teams
- Integrate internal systems with third-party applications and APIs to enable data exchange and workflow orchestration
- Write scripts and lightweight code to support automation, system integration, and process improvements
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business needs into technical solutions
- Participate in requirement gathering sessions, solution design discussions, and implementation planning
- Continuously evaluate existing processes and propose improvements through automation and technical innovation
- Maintain documentation for automation workflows, integrations, and system configurations
- Ensure solutions meet quality standards and are delivered on time according to project timelines
Requirements:
- Minimum 4 years of experience developing solutions using enterprise productivity and automation platforms, including tools such as identity administration systems, collaboration platforms, automation tools, and workflow platforms
- Hands-on experience with automation frameworks and application development tools, including workflow automation, internal application development, and data visualization tools
- Minimum 1 year of experience integrating third-party applications or APIs with enterprise platforms
- Minimum 2 years of experience with scripting or development, using languages such as Python, PowerShell, C#, HTML, or similar technologies
- Experience using modern development environments such as Visual Studio Code or similar tools
- Ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to independently design and implement automation solutions
- Previous experience working in a solutions architect, automation engineer, or platform developer role
- Experience working across the full software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to solution deployment and iterative improvement
- Background in process improvement and operational efficiency initiatives
- Experience working in fast-paced environments supporting business operations teams
- Exposure to AI-enabled tools, automation platforms, or intelligent workflow solutions
- Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work with cross-functional stakeholders
