Senior Mechanical Engineer PE

Lester Hamilton is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer (PE) to join their team as they expand and establish a new office in Salt Lake City, Utah. This role involves leading mechanical system design, mentoring junior staff, and contributing to business development efforts.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and development of mechanical systems for a variety of building projects
• Serve as a technical leader and mentor to junior engineering staff
• Support the launch and growth of the Salt Lake City office
• Manage projects, ensuring quality, budget, and schedule expectations are met
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and industry partners
• Contribute to business development efforts, including identifying new opportunities and supporting proposal development
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality engineering solutions

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required
• 8–15 years of mechanical engineering experience, preferably in consulting engineering
• Strong experience in building systems design (HVAC, mechanical infrastructure, etc.)
• Demonstrated business development and client relationship experience
• Proven leadership abilities and interest in growing into a senior leadership role
• Strong communication and project management skills
