Revance is building a suite of innovative commerce and loyalty solutions for consumers and providers within our digital platform ecosystem. They are seeking a strong design leader to own the end-to-end design process for B2C and B2B products, collaborating with cross-functional teams to create intuitive and elegant user experiences.
Responsibilities:
- Own the UX strategy and execution for B2C journeys (discover → learn → enroll→ engage → loyalty → support) and B2B journeys (practice onboarding, provider workflows, insights, support)
- Partner closely with Product Managers on product discovery (interviews, usability testing, advisory boards); synthesize insights into clear problem statements and opportunities
- Design user journeys, flows, wireframes, interactive prototypes, and production-ready UI in Figma for web and app across B2C (discover → learn → enroll→ engage → loyalty → support) and B2B (practice onboarding, daily workflows, insights, support)
- Translate requirements into interaction models/flows and information architecture that reduce friction and improve task success
- Maintain developer-ready Figma specs and ensure smooth handoff with bidirectional feedback loops during build and QA
- Define cross-product experience architecture, navigation, identity/preferences patterns, and shared components that progressively connect B2C and B2B touchpoints into a unified ecosystem
- Ensure visual and interaction consistency to create recognizable, trustworthy experiences across surfaces
- Build, govern, and scale an enterprise Design System (foundations, tokens, components, patterns, accessibility, content guidelines)
- Collaborate with the in-house creative team for adherence to the brand guidelines and ethos
- Deliver developer-ready specifications (variants, behaviors, redlines) and collaborate with Engineering on implementation (component libraries/front-end frameworks) to drive quality and velocity
- Establish DesignOps practices for contribution, versioning, and adoption across pods
- Establish design quality gates (definition of ready/done for design) and integrate them into sprint ceremonies
- Lead VOC to capture consumer and customer feedback. Create and present low‑ to high-fidelity explorations with rapid turnarounds; iterate quickly using qualitative feedback and behavioral data, leveraging design thinking
- Distill complex concepts into clear flows, prototypes, and presentation decks that communicate options, trade-offs, and rationale to executives and partners
- Leverage AI throughout the design process: use AI-assisted research synthesis, clustering, and insight extraction to accelerate discovery and problem framing
- Apply AI-powered ideation and visual exploration (e.g., concept mood boards, quick style studies, layout/visual variants) with generative tools to broaden solution space; translate strong directions into system‑aligned designs
- Use Figma + AI capabilities (e.g., smart layout suggestions, copy/UX writing assists, variant recommendations) to speed iteration while maintaining component/library integrity
- Incorporate behavioral heatmaps and attention predictions (from integrated analytics/UX tools) to inform layout priority, hierarchy, and interaction focus - then validate with usability testing
- Maintain prompt libraries and design guardrails (tone, accessibility, brand, privacy) for repeatable AI use in design; document outcomes and learnings for the team
- Partner with Product and Data to evaluate AI‑assisted experiences (disclosure, control, fallback patterns) and ensure they meet Revance standards for trust, accessibility, and performance
- Collaborate closely with engineers to validate feasibility, provide assets, and ensure pixel‑accurate, accessible (WCAG) delivery
- Proactively identify and resolve design inconsistencies or resource gaps; partner with QA to uphold quality in production
- Champion usability, inclusive design, and performance‑aware choices across all products
- Set design quality metrics (consistency, reuse, accessibility compliance) and partner with QA/Engineering to monitor in‑product fidelity
- Lead external/contract designers to deliver against priorities and quality standards as needed
- Set direction, run critiques, and enforce Design System and accessibility across external contributions
- Stand up scalable vendor workflows (intake, reviews, handoff, QA) for consistent quality and velocity
- Define the hiring plan and capability roadmap; as scope grows, recruit/onboard internal designers and build a high‑performing team
- Establish role definitions, leveling, and mentorship to elevate craft, systems thinking, and decision speed as the team scales
- Define expectations, workflows, and quality controls for vendor partners; ensure work aligns with the Design System, accessibility, and experience principles
Requirements:
- Expert‑level proficiency in Figma: components, variants, tokens, auto‑layout, advanced prototyping, library governance, and developer handoff best practices
- 6+ years designing B2C and/or B2B products (web and mobile) with a portfolio showing end‑to‑end work: research, UX, UI/visual, interaction, and shipped products
- Proven experience creating or scaling a Design System adopted by multiple teams; comfort partnering with Engineering on component libraries/front‑end frameworks
- Strong grasp of typography, layout, interaction patterns, and contemporary design trends, backed by sound judgment
- Fluency in usability testing methods and tools; ability to turn insights into actionable design decisions
- Excellent communication; able to explain rationale and align cross‑disciplinary partners quickly
- Organized, self‑directed, and comfortable leading multiple tracks in a fast‑moving environment
- Proficiency in Agile/Scrum/Kanban/SDLC/ Design Thinking methodologies
- healthcare/aesthetics/regulated domain experience
- experimentation/analytics fluency
- familiarity with CRM/MarTech/commerce and practice‑management tools
