Vertiv is seeking a Sr. Global Technical Business Development Manager, Thermal MTDC to drive growth and expand our presence within the data center market. This role blends technical expertise, customer engagement, and strategic business development, focusing on delivering innovative thermal solutions while developing strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Identify, develop, and mature strategic business opportunities within the global data center market
- Lead the design and proposal of complex, tailored thermal solutions aligned with customer business and technical objectives
- Build, expand, and maintain strong relationships with customers, partners, and senior/executive stakeholders
- Lead technical and solution-based discussions to support long-term strategic partnerships
- Develop customer-specific designs, proposals, and high-impact presentations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure solutions align with market needs and product strategy
- Translate complex technical requirements into compelling business cases and value propositions
- Analyze market trends, competitive dynamics, and customer strategies to inform growth initiatives
- Contribute to strategic business development planning and account growth strategies
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and key customer engagements
Requirements:
- 8-12 years of experience in technical sales, business development, or solution engineering
- Deep understanding of thermal systems and solutions within data center environments
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts with clarity, credibility, and influence
- Proven ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders and decision-makers
- Strong commercial acumen and strategic mindset
- Relationship-driven with exceptional stakeholder management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and relevant business software
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, related technical field (or equivalent industry experience)
- 25% travel (including industry events and client meetings)
- Experience within the data center or mission-critical infrastructure market preferred
