The role involves guiding teams on AI-centered features, evolving engineering practices, and ensuring enterprise-grade reliability while fostering a thriving engineering culture.
Responsibilities:
- Guide the teams on how AI-centered features should be developed, tested, secured, deployed, scaled and maintained
- Evolve our engineering practices, integrating AI assistance to drive new levels of efficiency, quality, collaboration and innovation
- Partner with engineering leads and managers to optimize our development cycles for the rapid, iterative pace of the modern AI landscape
- Maintain our commitment to enterprise-grade reliability, ensuring our tools remain easy to manage for IT leaders in complex, secure environments
- Ensure our tools work seamlessly together as a unified ecosystem, providing a consistent and high-quality experience for users across different environments
- Collaborate with product leadership and internal stakeholders to align our technical roadmaps with the long-term future of data science
- Work across the organization to turn ambitious goals into clear, actionable plans with shared ownership

Requirements:
- Pragmatic AI Vision: A grounded, expert view on how AI can fundamentally improve software effectiveness without losing sight of user needs
- Development Tool Expertise: Deep experience with IDEs, extensions, or language runtimes. You can engage deeply with Principal Engineers on architectural trade-offs
- The 'Data Science' Perspective: A strong background in Analytics or Data Science. You understand the user's 'why' as much as the 'how'
- Enterprise Groundedness: Experience building software for the unique constraints of Fortune 500 IT environments (auth, security, and compliance)
- Collaborative Change Management: A proven ability to lead organizations through periods of growth and technological shifts with empathy and clarity
