The AI Conference is the leading practitioner-focused, vendor-neutral AI event in the world. They are seeking a Community Engineer to manage community engagement across various platforms, enhance the conference app experience, and implement automation strategies to improve support infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
- Be the voice of The AI Conference on X, LinkedIn, Discord, and every platform where our community lives. This means real engagement—witty replies, thoughtful threads, genuine conversation—not scheduled posts into the void
- Build and sustain year-round community engagement, not just pre-conference hype cycles
- Own the conference app end-to-end: admin, engagement features, attendee experience, and feature development via AI-assisted building (vibecoding)
- Drive attendee engagement within the app before, during, and after the event—making it a place people actually want to open
- Backfill all inbound support requests with smart automation. Build bots, workflows, and AI-powered triage so repetitive questions never reach a human
- Identify and implement automation opportunities across the org—if a process is manual and repeatable, it should become a system
- Support marketing campaigns with content creation across platforms—email copy, social assets, community announcements
- Maintain a consistent, recognizable voice that reflects the conference’s practitioner-first ethos
- Be onsite during the conference managing all real-time communications: app push notifications, schedule changes, event announcements, social coverage
- Serve as the live connective tissue between the event and the digital experience
