HiTHIUM Energy Storage is redefining the energy storage sector, particularly in the AI Data Center market. The Sr. Application Engineer will leverage their expertise in battery energy storage systems to drive customer engagement and develop tailored solutions for AI infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary technical authority for HiTHIUM's BESS solutions within the AI data center segment, demonstrating deep knowledge of system architecture, integration requirements, and best practices for high-density, mission-critical power environments
- Lead technical discussions around how battery systems, inverters, and power conversion equipment interact within a data center power chain, guiding customers toward optimized energy storage and backup power solutions for AI workloads
- Develop and maintain senior-level relationships with data center developers, hyperscalers, colocation providers, and facility engineers. Own the technical relationship from initial engagement through post-deployment, ensuring a consistently outstanding customer experience
- Deliver compelling product demonstrations, presentations, and workshops to technical and executive audiences, clearly articulating the performance, reliability, and business value of HiTHIUM's solutions in AI data center environments
- Lead the design of customized energy storage solutions in collaboration with customers and internal engineering teams, addressing the specific power, redundancy, runtime, and footprint demands of large-scale AI infrastructure
- Take an active leadership role in preparing proposals, technical documents, and quotations. Drive technical strategy in sales meetings and serve as the go-to resource for complex customer questions and competitive differentiation
- Maintain a sharp pulse on AI infrastructure growth trends, evolving data center power requirements, competitive dynamics, and emerging technologies, proactively sharing insights with sales and product leadership
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Systems, or a related technical field
- Minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience in application engineering, technical sales, or field engineering within the energy storage, power electronics, or data center infrastructure space
- Deep knowledge of battery chemistry, BMS, inverter systems, and balance-of-plant components
- Strong understanding of data center power architecture including UPS systems, backup power, and critical power distribution is required
- Advanced understanding of inverter applications and their integration with energy storage systems in high-availability, mission-critical environments
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated ability to present complex technical concepts to both engineering teams and C-suite stakeholders
- A proven track record of building and maintaining long-term customer relationships and delivering outstanding technical customer experiences at a senior level
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to navigate complex customer challenges and develop creative, practical solutions independently
- Experienced working cross-functionally across sales, engineering, product, and executive teams in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
