The Human Resources Business Analyst will lead the design, development, implementation, and support of complex business intelligence analytical solutions to meet the reporting needs of the Human Resources department.
Responsibilities:
- Solves complex problems and develops innovative solutions as it relates to data, reports, and decision-making tools
- Leverages technologies like Tableau/Tableau server, Power BI and/or Alteryx to maximize data transparency
- Develops and maintains robust data security models
- Creates sustainable and appealing visual data representations
- Design intuitive dashboards that enable role-based drill down/employee self service capabilities
- Serves as a resource on the development of complex analytics, forecasts, data modeling and reporting to meet desired business outcomes
- Consults with end users to gather and clarify data and reporting needs for complex business intelligence solutions and analytics
- Writes queries, develops report templates, and dashboards
- Collaborates with technical teams identifying opportunities to leverage technology to facilitate information delivery and expand business capability
- Performs predictive analysis and forecasting to provide information that supports organizational goals
- Mines data to quantify relationships and identify issues warranting further analysis
- Use data mining, model building, other analytical techniques to develop and maintain client business unit information and predictive models to drive the university forward, especially as it relates to people strategies
- Monitors data sources, identifies issues and coordinates solutions to data collection / management challenges
- Validate reporting results against requirements
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years' experience with direct hands-on experience developing dashboards and data sources with BI software such as Tableau, Power BI, SSRS, etc
- Minimum 3 years' experience as a BI Administrator with direct experience implementing, managing, and monitoring published workbooks and data sources, software upgrades, extract refreshes, product keys and licenses, and user access requests
- Proficient in all MS Office applications, BI / database applications and reporting tools
- Demonstrated ability in transforming raw, operational data into actionable, insightful findings, metrics, KPIs, and dashboards
