Position Summary: We are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join our engineering team in Madison, IN. In this role, you will apply your deep knowledge of electrical and electronic design to develop next-generation LED lighting systems, smart trailer technologies, and vehicle safety products. You will serve as a technical leader, mentoring junior engineers, driving design decisions, and collaborating cross-functionally with mechanical engineering, manufacturing, quality, and product management teams to bring innovative products from concept to production.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a closely related field. 7+ years of progressive experience in electrical/electronic product design, preferably in automotive, commercial vehicle, or consumer electronics industries. Strong proficiency in DC low-voltage circuit design, LED lighting systems, and power electronics. Hands-on experience with schematic capture and PCB layout tools (e.g., Altium Designer, OrCAD, or equivalent). Working knowledge of EMC/EMI compliance, thermal management, and environmental reliability testing. Familiarity with FMVSS regulations, SAE standards, and/or ECE requirements related to vehicle lighting. Experience with embedded systems, microcontrollers, and communication protocols such as CAN, LIN, or J1939. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and lead technical projects. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
