In collaboration with the system table, the System Family Manager (SFM) is responsible for System Timing & Cost, working with the Project Economical Manager for Total Production Costs and Program Spending.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Work, with the respective system chief, to coordinate the cross functional system team (“System Table”)
- Lead, with the system chief, the propulsion system development process (PSDP) governance and reporting (milestone reviews/program reviews/weekly meetings and updates)
- Manage, with sub-system and the launch application of the PRS, timing and readiness consistency for the entire propulsion system (PRS)
- Manage the core initiatives preparation and core studies response:
- Working with the PRS engineering functions, Planning and VEMO to prepare ER&D budget convergence for milestone approval.
- Following the PRS governance for approval (PRS governance approval/GPCx)
- Under Project Economical Manager responsibility manage product cost and program budget during execution:
- Total product cost (TPC)
- ER&D spending
- Capital expenditure (CAPEX)
- Drive, with the sub-system family managers, industrial synergies between conventional & hybrid variants
- On behalf of system chief, manage change management
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in the automotive industry as Program Manager or Technical Manager.
