Salary Range: $52,000 to $67,000
Position Summary Description:
Assists in the review, interpretation and analysis of various general ledger accounts. Responsible for reconciliation of various general ledger accounts, preparing and reconciling the various bank accounts. Reviews discrepancies discovered by the Accounts Payable department and makes the necessary cost and financial adjustments.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Assists in review, interpretation and analysis of various general ledger accounts.
• Responsible for reconciliation of various general ledger accounts.
• Prepares monthly journal entry for expense accruals.
• Responsible for preparing and reconciling the various bank accounts.
• Reviews the Accounts Payable variance accounts, research significant variances and make the adjustment as required.
• Prepare the beverage deposit + glass tax monthly returns.
• Prepares inventory obsolescence reserve journal.
• Preapares CZ gift certificates + Kulia rebates monthly journal.
• Reviews daily A/P check + eft run.
• Prepares and analyzes all prepaid accounts.
• Monthly reconciles inventory adjustments.
• Completes various projects as directed by the Accounting Manager
• Submits EFT vendor inventory payments to our bank via bank website.
• Prepares various reconciliation of GL accounts for annual audit.
• Use the Company’s Mission/Vision Statements and Core Values as their guiding principles.
Qualifications:
Education/Training and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business administration required.
Minimum two years of accounting experience
Experience in the wholesale distribution industry is preferred.
Communication Skills:
Must possess a high level of verbal and written communication skills.
Must be able to communicate with internal and external associates in an effective, professional and persuasive manner.
Other Skills:
Must be able to perform basic to moderately difficult mathematical functions involving addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, averaging and percentages.
Must be able to demonstrate proficiency will all Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
Must have excellent judgment in all matters related to this position.
Ability to be organized, multi-tasked, and be very flexible with changing priorities.
Uses common sense in problem solving and decision-making.
Must be able to use 10-key by touch.
Physical Demands:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand and/or walk for long periods of time with frequent opportunities to stretch or rest. This position involves extensive computer work and telephone communications. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

The working environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to comfortable levels of temperature, ventilation, lighting, and noise. Exposure to outside weather conditions is occasional.
Equipment Used:
Daily use of a computer and telephone. Frequent use of a copy machine. Occasional use of a calculator.
Days/Hours of Work:
Position hours are Monday through Friday during regular business hours. Evening and weekends hours may also be required.
