
Temple University's Global Programs Department is searching for a Part-Time Assistant!
Hourly Rate: $18/hr.
Position Summary
The Global Programs department in the Office of Global Engagement is seeking a part-time assistant to provide general office support, assist with international students’ inquiries, support the processing of Global Programs applications, and assist with student events and activities.
Working under the supervision of the Associate Director, the Global Programs Assistant will perform various clerical and reception duties, including, but not limited to, answering messages from prospective and current students, greeting visitors, assisting with marketing projects and social media, website updates, virtual information sessions, application indexing and processing, data entry, and additional clerical duties as assigned. Provide support for student services and events.
Global Programs provides opportunities for students from international partner universities to study at Temple through programs such as student exchange, inbound study abroad, and dual degree programs. This position will be in person, with limited remote options. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience
* At least six (6) months of experience
An equivalent combination of acceptable education and experience may be considered.
Preferred Education and Experience
* Bachelor’s degree
* One (1) year of experience
Required Skills and Abilities
* Strong customer service skills, with the ability to effectively interact with diverse students, faculty, and staff
* Good organizational skills with the ability to work independently
* Demonstrated ability to handle and prioritize diverse tasks in a fast-paced environment
* Ability to interpret and carry out written and verbal instructions and procedures
* Demonstrated ability to prioritize and focus on completing tasks and objectives while handling multiple tasks, along with strong attention to detail
* Ability to operate all standard equipment
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, etc.
Preferred Skills and Abilities
* An enthusiasm for working in an international, diverse, and multicultural environment
* Familiarity with data entry systems such as Banner and Recruit
* Familiarity with Temple University or similar institutions
* Familiarity with social media and messaging platforms, such as WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram, WeChat, LINE, etc.
* Familiarity with international education, international student populations, or higher education
