Wadhwani Foundation is on a mission to accelerate job creation and help millions of people earn a decent income for a dignified life. In Indonesia, our Skilling Network (WSN) operates as a placement engine targeting 3 million job placements by 2030. We provide free placement services to employers, removing friction and making it easy for companies to access qualified, job-ready talent from our training ecosystem.
Our model works because we control the full funnel: we train people through partner institutions, ensure they complete and become job-ready, then proactively match them to employers who need talent. We don't wait for companies to come to us. We initiate the placements, build the relationships, and deliver candidates directly to hiring teams.
The Career Center Manager is the person who turns job-ready graduates into employed professionals. You own the final and most critical conversion in our funnel: from trained and ready to placed and working.
You will work two sides simultaneously. On the candidate side, you prepare graduates for employment through career coaching, interview preparation, and Career Buddy programs. On the employer side, you build hands-on working relationships with recruiters and talent acquisition teams inside the companies that Demand brings into our network. Demand opens the door at the partnership level. You make the partnership produce actual hires.
In the placement formula Placements = Enrollments x Completion % x Placement % , you own the Placement % variable. At scale, every percentage point you improve translates to tens of thousands of additional lives changed.
1. Recruiter & TA Relationship Management
Once Demand secures an employer partnership, you take over the operational hiring relationship. Your job is to become the go-to person for the company's recruiters and talent acquisition teams.
• Build and maintain working relationships with recruiters, Talent Acquisition leads, and hiring managers inside partner companies
• Understand each employer's specific hiring needs: role requirements, volume, timelines, screening preferences, and culture fit expectations
• Proactively push qualified candidate profiles and shortlists to recruiters, since our placements are free and employer-initiated friction should be near zero
• Manage the candidate submission-to-hire pipeline for each employer, tracking conversion at every stage (submitted, interviewed, offered, placed)
• Run regular check-ins with key Talent Acquisition contacts to gather feedback on candidate quality and adjust matching accordingly
• Coordinate with Irham on employer satisfaction and escalate partnership-level issues when needed
2. Student Preparation & Job Matching
You receive graduates from Transform once they reach 'placement-ready' status. From there, you own their journey through to verified employment.
• Own the learner journey from 'placement-ready' through to 'placed and verified'
• Coordinate interview preparation, CV building, and career coaching through Career Buddy programs
• Profile candidates against employer requirements and create targeted shortlists for each hiring partner
• Operate and optimize the HPS (Hyperlocal Solutions) Job portal platform for matching at scale
• Track and improve the candidate-to-placement conversion rate across all employer channels
3. Career Center Operations & Scaling
Career centers are the infrastructure through which placements happen at scale. In addition to building and managing our internal Career Center, you will also embed in partner institutions to assist to build the placement process, then replicate it.
• Embed in one priority training partner in Q1 to build the placement workflow hands-on: student profiling, employer matching, interview prep, placement tracking
• Document every process as a replicable playbook while building it, designing for 500+ centers to eventually copy it
• Activate pilot career centers and scale to 20 active centers by end of 2026
• Define and maintain operating standards and KPIs for each career center
• Identify underperforming centers, diagnose root causes, and implement corrective actions
4. Cross-Pillar Coordination
• Jointly define and maintain 'placement-ready' criteria with Transformation, ensuring graduates entering your pipeline are genuinely ready for employer submission
• Coordinate weekly with Demand on new employer onboarding, job openings, candidate pipeline, and placement progress
• Participate in Tuesday Demand-Supply Sync (45 min) and Wednesday Transform-Placement Handoff
• Contribute to Friday alignment Rollup with placement pipeline, conversion rates, and bottleneck analysis
5. Alumni Tracking & Placement Verification
• Build systems to verify placement quality and confirm graduates are genuinely employed
• Track post-placement retention to ensure sustainable employment outcomes
• Develop feedback loops with placed alumni and their employers to continuously improve matching
• 5+ years in recruitment operations, talent placement, career services, or workforce development
• Direct experience managing relationships with recruiters, Talent Acquisition teams, or hiring managers across multiple companies simultaneously
• Track record of placing candidates into jobs at volume (not just sourcing or screening, but end-to-end placement)
• Experience building placement processes, matching workflows, or recruitment pipelines from early stage
• Strong understanding of the Indonesian labor market, employer hiring patterns, and sectors such as (manufacturing, retail, IT/BPO, hospitality, BFSI, etc)
• Data-driven approach to managing pipelines: comfortable with trackers, dashboards, and conversion metrics
• Able to work across teams, managing coordination with people who are not your direct reports
• Fluent in Bahasa Indonesia and proficient in English
• Experience in social enterprise, NGO, or mission-driven organizations focused on employment outcomes
• Background in recruitment agencies, staffing companies, job portals, or talent marketplace platforms
• Familiarity with BLKs, vocational high schools (SMKs), polytechnics, training providers, or university career offices in Indonesia
• Experience with ATS, HRIS, or placement management platforms
• Knowledge of government employment programs (Kemnaker, Kemendikti, etc) and industry HR associations like PMSM, etc
