Lab Coordinator

Location: Wichita, KS

Schedule: Monday - Friday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Job Purpose

The primary responsibilities of the lab coordinator will include screening phone calls, computer data entry, and composing and typing written correspondence. 

Duties & Responsibilities

• Answer incoming phone lines, direct calls and/or take messages; greet visitors and give courteous directions to callers or visitors.
• Presents a professional, positive attitude at all times
• Work as frontline defense for incoming phone call inquiries.
• Gather and distribute mail, packages and items related to the Research & Development Laboratory.
• Compile and format data for reports and informational purposes.
• Coordinate travel arrangements for department employees.
• Assist with tracking department expenses and budget.
• Create correspondence.
• Maintain calendars.
• Arrange for internal and external meetings.
• Planning and coordinating events.
• Log accurate incoming work and completed work, coordinating projects and filing.
• Receipt and log-in of incoming lab samples for testing. 
• Help order supplies and other materials.
• Ensure lab reporting is provided to customers.
• Pick up and deliver items outside the company when needed.
• Print and review monthly invoices for laboratory testing.
• Keep the area clean and maintain frequent housekeeping.
• Adheres to company policies.
• Other duties as needed or assigned. 

Qualifications

• High school Diploma or equivalent required.

• A minimum of one (1+) or more years of experience in an office setting, preferably in answering multi-line phone calls and greeting visitors.

• Technical or vocational school graduate preferred.
