EQT Corporation is one of the leading producers of natural gas in the United States, striving to become a modern, digitally enabled organization. They are seeking a highly motivated Business Analyst/Specialist to drive process improvement and analytical initiatives within their Asset Development and Compliance programs, focusing on optimizing operational efficiency and supporting various functional teams.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and execute short-term capacity optimization opportunities by analyzing regional supply/demand dynamics, pipeline constraints, and market trends
- Monitor and analyze price spreads across time periods and geographic regions to value opportunities
- Develop and maintain financial and operational models to support capacity planning, pricing decisions, forecasting, and optimization strategy
- Partner directly with Midstream Customers and internal, Scheduling, Accounting, and Operations teams to support asset utilization and resolve market-driven issues
- Translate complex market data into actionable insights, performance reporting, and recommendations for leadership
- Develop and manage program metrics, KPIs, and evolution indicators to measure performance and highlight future opportunities
- Prioritize and oversee process improvement and analytics projects, ensuring high-impact delivery
- Share best practices, promote knowledge transfer, and strengthen collaboration across programs
Requirements:
- 1-3 years of direct experience in gas management, midstream commercial, or related analytical role (level dependent)
- Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, accounting, business, engineering, or a closely related field
- Strong understanding of natural gas markets, pipeline capacity, transportation contracts, regional pricing dynamics, and basis differentials
- Demonstrated ability to conduct business process reviews and drive process improvements across programs
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence, build trust, and foster collaboration across cross-functional teams
- Comfortable working with business end users, IT staff, and Midstream Customers both independently and as part of an integrated EQT Midstream team
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, & Word)
- Self-motivated and organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results independently
- Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree is a plus
- 3+ years of Oil and Gas industry experience (Midstream strongly preferred)
- Experience with gas management systems (e.g., Quorum), Salesforce, and data analytics or visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, DataBricks, Spotfire)
