a Construction Project Manager.
This position will be based in the Bahamas.
In alignment with Osprey's focus on high-end residential and commercial projects, the Construction Project Manager plays a pivotal role in delivering complex construction initiatives that meet the company’s exacting standards of excellence. The position requires a leader capable of planning, coordinating, and overseeing all phases of construction projects while maintaining Osprey’s commitment to quality, safety, and client satisfaction.
Key Objectives:
Deliver High-Quality Projects on Time and Within Budget:
The Project Manager is responsible for ensuring that all projects are executed to the highest standards of quality, within the agreed timelines and budgets. This involves meticulous planning, real-time problem-solving, and proactive risk management.
Drive Seamless Project Planning and Execution:
The role requires developing detailed project plans that encompass all elements of construction, including timelines, resource allocation, and budgetary considerations. Effective execution of these plans involves overseeing on-site activities, coordinating teams, and ensuring adherence to design specifications and safety protocols.
Lead Collaborative Efforts Across Teams:
As the central liaison, the Project Manager must foster collaboration among architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to achieve cohesive project delivery. This includes managing relationships, ensuring clear communication, and resolving conflicts promptly.
Ensure Financial Accountability and Cost Efficiency:
Managing project budgets is a critical objective, with responsibilities ranging from budget preparation to monitoring expenses and controlling costs. The Project Manager must navigate financial challenges, such as managing change orders while maintaining the integrity of the project’s financial plan.
Maintain Client and Stakeholder Satisfaction:
By providing regular updates and facilitating effective communication, the Project Manager ensures clients and stakeholders are informed and confident in the project's progress. The role also involves addressing concerns and incorporating feedback to align project outcomes with client expectations.
Champion Safety and Compliance:
Promoting a safe working environment and ensuring compliance with all relevant building codes, permits, and environmental regulations are paramount. The Project Manager is tasked with enforcing safety protocols to minimize risks and uphold Osprey’s commitment to workplace safety.
This role demands a proactive, detail-oriented professional with the ability to manage multiple priorities, adapt to challenges, and uphold Osprey’s reputation for delivering superior residential and commercial projects. Requirements
We seek professionals with degrees in construction management, civil engineering, architecture, or a related field.
Must have 5–10 years of experience in construction or project management.
Proven track record of managing projects of similar scope and complexity.
The following certifications are desired:
â Project Management Professional (PMP)
â Certified Construction Manager (CCM)
â OSHA Safety Certification
â LEED Accreditation (for sustainable projects)
Skills and Competencies:
Technical Proficiency:
Deep understanding of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.
Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project,
Primavera).
Leadership: Ability to lead, motivate, and manage diverse teams.
Strong decision-making skills under pressure.
Problem-Solving: Proactively identify and resolve project-related challenges.
Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for coordinating with stakeholders and documenting project updates.
Organizational Skills: Efficient in handling multiple tasks, schedules, and deadlines simultaneously.
Financial Acumen: Strong budget management and cost control capabilities.
Must be fluent in both Spanish and English.
Must be able to relocate to the Bahamas.
