Find Great People | FGP is partnering with a growing automotive manufacturing supplier that specializes in metal stamping, complex welding, multi-component assembly, and e-coating. The Strategic Sales Manager – Production will connect the company’s manufacturing capabilities with major OEMs and drive revenue growth by identifying new business opportunities.
Responsibilities:
- Drive revenue growth by identifying and securing new business opportunities for production parts including stamping, welding, assembly, and e-coating
- Manage and expand OEM relationships, serving as a key point of contact for accounts with OEMs, suppliers and others
- Develop new customer relationships within both automotive and non-automotive sectors
- Partner with engineering and operations teams to translate customer requirements into manufacturing solutions
- Lead RFQ development and proposal submissions, ensuring competitive pricing and alignment with manufacturing capabilities
- Identify and pursue strategic growth opportunities in industrial, aerospace, EV, and other emerging markets
- Represent the company with customers through plant visits, technical discussions, and industry engagement
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in automotive OEM or Tier 1 / Tier 2 manufacturing sales
- Strong technical understanding of metal stamping, welding processes, and automated assembly
- Established relationships with purchasing or engineering teams at major OEMs
- Familiarity with IATF and ISO standards and automotive quality requirements
- Proven ability to manage complex, long-cycle sales cycles and negotiate high-value contracts
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally to customer locations and company facilities
- High-energy, entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to break into new industries and uncover innovative opportunities
