Sr. Civil Engineer

Meade Engineering, Inc. is a full-service design firm specializing in innovative engineering solutions for data centers and large-scale construction projects. They are seeking a highly skilled Sr. Civil Engineer to design and oversee the construction of Tier IV data centers, collaborating with various engineering teams to ensure project specifications and standards are met.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and review detailed civil engineering designs for Tier IV data centers, including site layout, grading, drainage, utilities, and infrastructure
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet all project specifications, including redundancy, security, and uptime requirements
• Conduct site evaluations and feasibility studies to assess project viability and identify potential challenges
• Oversee civil engineering aspects of the construction process, ensuring adherence to design specifications, budgets, and timelines
• Coordinate with other engineering disciplines, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution
• Monitor and report on project progress, identifying and mitigating risks as they arise
• Ensure all civil engineering designs and construction activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations, including environmental standards
• Prepare and submit required documentation for permitting and approvals
• Implement and oversee quality control processes to ensure that all civil engineering work meets the highest standards of safety, reliability, and durability
• Conduct site inspections and audits to verify compliance with design specifications and industry best practices
• Provide technical support and guidance to the project team on all civil engineering-related matters
• Stay updated on the latest advancements in civil engineering technology and best practices, particularly as they relate to data center design and construction

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
• 6+ years of experience in civil engineering, with a focus on data centers or mission-critical facilities
• Strong understanding of site development, structural engineering, and utility infrastructure
• Proficient in civil engineering software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other relevant tools
• Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment
• Master's degree
• Professional Engineer (PE) license
• Proven experience in the design and construction of Tier IV data centers
