Neon Growth is a fast-growing, performance-focused marketing agency working with ambitious ecommerce brands. The Director of DTC Performance Marketing is responsible for owning the performance media strategy and execution for ecommerce/DTC brands, driving results across various paid channels, and leading a team to optimize performance outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Own performance outcomes for ecommerce accounts across paid social and paid search
- Actively operate inside ad accounts, not just review them
- Drive structure changes, budget shifts, and optimization decisions continuously
- Be accountable for revenue, efficiency, and scale, not activity
- Own the creative testing strategy in partnership with the Creative Director
- Translate performance data into clear creative direction and testing priorities
- Push teams to increase creative volume, quality, and speed
- Kill underperforming concepts quickly and scale winners decisively
- Make independent decisions without waiting for consensus
- Prioritize speed, clarity, and outcomes over perfection
- Know when to test, when to double down, and when to cut
- Lead and QA ecommerce media buyers and junior team members
- Set clear performance standards and expectations
- Identify underperformance quickly and act on it
- Raise the bar across strategy, execution, and thinking
- Clearly articulate what’s working, what’s not, and what happens next
- Present insights and decisions with confidence and logic
- Avoid vanity reporting - insight only if it drives action
- Revenue and efficiency improvement over time (ROAS, CPA, MER)
- Speed and quality of execution and iteration
- Strength of decisions under ambiguity
- Creative testing velocity and learning clarity
- Performance and reliability of the team you lead
