VMware Infrastructure Engineer/Server Build Engineer/VMware & Cisco Systems Administrator- Remote

Apetan Consulting LLC is seeking a skilled VMware & Cisco Infrastructure Engineer to support server base builds and post rack-and-stack activities within enterprise data center environments. The role involves deploying and configuring VMware virtualization platforms and Cisco servers to ensure stable and secure system operations.

Responsibilities:

• Perform server base builds and configuration of VMware environments after hardware installation
• Support post rack-and-stack activities including system configuration, network setup, and validation
• Install and configure VMware ESXi, vCenter, and virtualization infrastructure
• Configure and manage Cisco UCS servers and related networking components
• Perform firmware upgrades, BIOS configuration, and server provisioning
• Work with infrastructure teams to integrate servers with storage, networking, and security systems
• Troubleshoot issues related to server hardware, virtualization, and connectivity
• Document build procedures, configuration standards, and operational guidelines
• Ensure compliance with enterprise infrastructure and security standards

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in data center infrastructure or system engineering
• Strong experience with VMware ESXi, vCenter, and virtualization technologies
• Hands-on experience with Cisco UCS servers and Cisco data center infrastructure
• Experience with server provisioning, configuration, and deployment
• Knowledge of networking concepts (VLANs, IP addressing, DNS, DHCP)
• Experience with enterprise storage systems (SAN/NAS)
• Ability to troubleshoot server, virtualization, and infrastructure issues
