As a Supply Chain Intern you will partner with the Procurement technology vertical in delivering strategic sourcing expertise, value and excellent support to our internal stakeholders. This includes interfacing with both internal stakeholders and external suppliers and will be a great opportunity to expand your supplier / contract management and strategic sourcing experience while contributing to IDEXX’s overall business goals.
IDEXX is a global manufacturer of medical devices for veterinarians and other diagnostic products.
In this role you may have an opportunity to experience the following processes:
- Supplier Relationship Management (SRM): Assist with the SRM process, including scorecards and business reviews
- Contract Management: Partner with Supplier Relationship Owners (SRO) in reviewing existing contract terms and develop an understanding of key sections of a contract
- Strategic Sourcing: Assist with the Request for Proposal (RFP) process in evaluating and selecting Technology solutions and suppliers
- Indirect Procurement Process and Brand: Partner with seasoned Sourcing Managers to create checklists outlining the Indirect Procurement process. Update and modernize materials and presentations to create standardized templates with a consistent “brand” for the Indirect Procurement Team.
What You Will Need to Succeed:
- Being a 3rd or 4th year student pursuing bachelor’s degree in supply chain management or related field
- Effective communicator, both written and oral; ability to articulate or demonstrate perspectives and best practices
- Having a problem-solving mindset and enjoying working with data
- Strong quantitative analysis and data-driven-decision-making skills, and attention to detail, especially related data accuracy
- Ability to work independently with a strong sense of organization, accountability and ownership
- Ability to work in a diverse, cross-functional team
- Advanced in Microsoft Excel
