Quality Assurance Manager– Secret Clearance Required

Here at Sherpa 6, we are seeking an experienced QA Manager to shape and guide our quality assurance team.  We currently have a team of multi-talented test engineers who are building our automation and manual test suites for our software products for both Angular web and Android mobile applications. The QA Lead would be responsible for leading this team in staying ahead of modern testing treads, ensuring appropriate QA for each unique program, and ensuring the team a confident leader to guide them through all these challenges.  

Responsibilities:  

• Managing and guiding the QA team in performing tests on software and other systems 
• Developing and implementing quality control procedures and standards 
• Monitoring and reporting on the quality of systems or applications under testing 
• Identifying and documenting product defects and ensuring they are resolved by the development team 
• Collaborating with other teams such as development and product management to ensure quality product releases 
• Reviewing test plans and test cases to ensure they cover all necessary scenarios 
• Conducting root cause analysis for defects and suggesting corrective actions 
• Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of industry quality assurance trends and advancements 
• Ensuring compliance with regulations and standards throughout all testing and quality assurance processes 

Requirements

• Active Secret security clearance (Interim ok) 
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).  
• 10+ years of experience in QA Field 
• 5+ years of experience leading software developers and testers 
• Proficiency in Java development experience
• Experience with ticketing software (Jira, Rally, etc.)  
• Experience leading teams of engineers within the Agile framework 
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and technologies  
• Experience writing/running automated test scripts  
• Experience managing teams of developers 
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.  
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams  
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment? 
• Must be a US citizen  

Qualities of Exceptional Candidates:  

• Front-end, back-end, or mobile application development experience of any kind

The proposed salary range is reflective across all Sherpa 6 locations, years of experience, and skill levels. Salary negotiations will be based on a host of factors including but not limited to your geographic location, prior experience, relevant skills, education, and certifications.
