Your Role
This role offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a regulated manufacturing environment and to contribute directly to the production of advanced medical devices that improve lives.
This eight-month position offers the opportunity to gain diverse experience in two departments as a split position. The first four-month half of this work term will be as the Quality Engineering Co-op. The second four months will be as the Manufacturing Engineering Co-op.
Your Responsibilities Include:
The Quality Engineering Co-op will join the Quality Engineering team. This role supports the Quality Engineering Manager in performing root cause analysis investigation of non-conformances and reporting on the results of these investigations.
The Manufacturing Engineering Co-op will join the Manufacturing Engineering team and work closely with the production team to support their needs by providing technical support. This role supports the Manufacturing Engineering Manager in driving improvements in production efficiency and increasing quality while reducing costs. This role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

Our headquarters is in Vancouver, BC adjacent to a SkyTrain Station. This is a temporary full-time position of 40 hours per week, on-site.
The hourly rate for this role is set between $21-$25 per hour.
Our office is located right beside the Renfrew SkyTrain Station, includes a fully stocked kitchen with fruit, snacks, and cereals, along with a ping pong table and a climbing wall, free secured bicycle parking, and a modern workspace with sit/stand desks, outdoor amenities, enclosed parking, and a free on site gym.

• Currently pursuing a degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or similar degree.
• Strong analytical technical problem-solving skills of complex processes. Involving mechanical processes, electromechanical equipment, and shop personnel.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in work.
• Design of experiments

• Statistical process control
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• SolidWorks proficiency
• FDM 3D printing
• Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively across departments.
