The Opportunity:
We’re seeking an intern to join our HRIS & Analytics team for a four‑month opportunity, supporting internal People & Culture initiatives through employee data, reporting, and analytics. This team plays a key role in ensuring workforce reports and dashboards are accurate, relevant, and efficient, helping leaders make informed, data‑driven decisions.
This role will report to the Manager, HRIS and Analytics and offers hands‑on exposure to people data, reporting improvement work, and the foundations of people analytics within a values‑driven financial institution.
A typical day would involve:
- Support the refresh and improvement of core People & Culture reports and dashboards—helping ensure they are accurate, relevant, efficient, and easy for stakeholders to use.
- Help respond to ad‑hoc people data questions by preparing clean, well‑structured outputs and clear summaries (e.g., for audits, benchmarking requests, and others).
- Assist with data quality checks and troubleshooting—spotting inconsistencies, coordinating fixes, and improving the integrity of employee data used for reporting.
- Collaborate with partners across People & Culture to translate business questions into reporting requirements and help shape dashboards that tell a clear story.
- Contribute to internal projects that strengthen our people data foundations—such as data definitions, metric/report inventory work, and data governance efforts.
- Document processes and create lightweight guidance (job aids / quick references) to support consistent reporting, repeatable refresh cycles, and self‑serve use where appropriate.

You have:
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or postgraduate program within an applicable field and eligible for co-op/internship opportunities
- An interest in data analysis, analytics and financial services
- A willingness to work in a highly flexible environment with multiple competing priorities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A high level of attention to detail
Bonus points, if you have:
- Experience (coursework or projects) using Power BI (visuals, data modeling)for analysis.
- Experience with SQL, Python, and/or R (even at a beginner level).
- Familiarity with Human Resources data sets
- Prior coursework or experience in analytics, data science
- Comfort handling sensitive information with discretion and following data governance/privacy expectations
What You’ll Earn:
This role offers a pay range of $27.85/hr.
