About Shopic- Shopic is an AI RetailTech startup specializing in retail solutions and shopping experiences. Our technology turns shopping experiences to an AI vision based technology.

Our core products include SmartCart, which enables shoppers to grab products and bypass checkout lines and ShopWatch, a sophisticated computer vision and data analytics tool designed to monitor and reduce "shrink" (loss/theft) at Self-Checkout (SCO) stations.

Our ShopWatch technology, powered by advanced computer vision and data analytics, is on the cusp of being deployed with leading retailers. We are excited to expand its reach and are looking for dedicated, customer-focused technical professionals to join our team and contribute to this exciting journey.

Our main offices are based in Tel Aviv (4 days a week), deployed by major grocery chains worldwide, and employ some of the best minds in the AI sector.

About the role- We are looking for a highly Software Engineer with 5 years of experience in software development, proficient in Python. A passion for creating complex features and solving complex problems, as well as designing and architecting business solutions.

Responsabilities

• Design, develop and maintain high-quality web applications using Python
• Develop and maintain clean and efficient code
• Troubleshoot and debug issues as they arise
• Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability
• Participate in the entire software development life cycle, including planning, design, development, testing, and deployment
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other developers to identify and solve complex problems
• Continuously research and evaluate new technologies to improve the product and the development process

Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience as a Software Engineer, building user-first applications and experiences.
• Experience in Python development - a must
• Experience in working with databases such as MySQL, MongoDB, or PostgreSQL
• Experience with agile software development methodologies
• Experience with version control tools such as Git
