As the 3Phase PMO, you will lead a dual mandate overseeing Portfolio Management and Execution Excellence within Schneider Electric’s Data Centers business. You will manage a global team of Agile Project Managers, ensuring strategic alignment, operational excellence, and scalable delivery across global Agile Squads. Your role bridges business strategy, portfolio governance, and on-the-ground execution to drive innovation, mitigate risks, and maximize ROI in high-stakes technology portfolios.
Core Responsibilities
1. Strategic Portfolio Governance & Leadership
· Oversee the Portfolio Management in defining and executing the Data Center Systems portfolio roadmap, ensuring alignment with Schneider Electric’s global strategy, customer needs, and market trends.
· Set cross-portfolio priorities, balance resource allocation between innovation (e.g., 3Phase UPS, Batteries, Power conversion) and sustainment initiatives, and approve budget allocations to optimize ROI.
· Establish governance frameworks for Offer Lifecycle Management, ensuring rigorous milestone reviews, investment viability assessments, and cross-functional alignment (Marketing, R&D, Supply Chain, Finance).
2. Execution Excellence & Agile Scaling
· Lead a global team of Agile Project Managers (APM), providing mentorship and guidance to ensure consistent adoption of Agile principles across Squads.
· Drive cross-project execution excellence by resolving interdependencies, monitoring global roadmaps, and ensuring seamless synchronization of Product Increment (PI) releases with portfolio goals.
· Enforce standardized Agile practices (e.g., daily stand-ups, retrospectives) and tool usage (JIRA, dashboards) while empowering APMs to adapt frameworks to squad-specific needs.
3. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
· Act as the primary interface between the PMO, executive leadership, and business units, translating strategic objectives into actionable portfolio and execution plans.
· Lead cross-functional governance meetings to align stakeholders on trade-offs, risk mitigation, and priority adjustments, escalating critical issues to senior leadership as needed.
· Foster a culture of transparency through regular reporting on portfolio performance, execution velocity, and strategic KPIs (e.g., time-to-market, predictability metrics).
4. Risk, Budget, and Resource Management
· Oversee end-to-end portfolio and execution risk management, identifying systemic risks (e.g., resource conflicts, technical dependencies) and driving enterprise-wide mitigation strategies.
· Manage the combined PMO budget, collaborating with Finance to forecast expenses, track financial performance, and reallocate resources during scope changes or market shifts.
· Optimize global resource capacity across portfolios and execution teams, addressing bottlenecks and ensuring equitable distribution of talent.
5. Organizational Agility & Continuous Improvement
· Define and scale Agile maturity initiatives to enhance collaboration, reduce waste, and accelerate delivery across the organization.
· Analyze cross-portfolio retrospectives and execution data to identify systemic inefficiencies, driving iterative improvements in processes, tools, and team dynamics.
· Promote knowledge sharing between portfolios and squads, leveraging best practices to enhance collective capabilities.
Leadership Responsibilities
· Mentor and develop the APMs through performance coaching, career planning, and skill-building initiatives.
· Build a high-performing PMO team by fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous learning.
· Represent the PMO’s strategic value at the executive level, advocating for Agile transformation and portfolio optimization.
