Software Engineering Lead / Software Technical Project Lead – Project Delivery The Software Engineering Lead is responsible for leading the software development lifecycle for AUTOSAR-based projects, ensuring ASPICE Level 2 compliance, meeting technical milestones, and delivering high-quality software on schedule. This role encompasses technical leadership, software planning, integration oversight, quality gate reviews, and coordination with cross-functional teams.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Lead technical activities across full lifecycle phases including requirements engineering, design, implementation, integration, and verification.
- Ensure alignment with AUTOSAR architecture and platform constraints.
- Approve and validate software subsystem design in accordance with system architecture and safety goals.
- Ensure process adherence to ASPICE Level 2 across software development and verification.
- Establish traceability between requirements, design, implementation, and test artifacts.
- Review and document outcomes of key ASPICE process areas such as SWE.1 to SWE.6.
- Define and enforce Software Gates across milestones (e.g. Requirements Freeze, FSW Integration, FSW40 - Till Production ).
- Own and conduct Quality Gate Reviews in collaboration with Quality Assurance to assess completeness and compliance.
- Participate in Technical Reviews, Walkthroughs, and Release Readiness assessments.
- Drive delivery of incremental software builds aligned with project planning and system integration timelines.
- Oversee delivery packaging, change request tracking, and release documentation.
- Coordinate interface and diagnostic integration with hardware teams and system architects.
- Align activities with Systems, Hardware, Validation, and Test teams.
- Resolve cross-domain issues and dependencies to ensure smooth integration and verification.
- Support customer interactions for technical clarifications and software planning.
Your Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering disciplines: Electrical, Electronics & Communication, Mechatronics, Mechanical, or equivalent.
- 8–12 years of experience in automotive or embedded software, including customer-facing project responsibilities.
- Proven leadership of full-lifecycle automotive projects, from acquisition to launch.
- Practical experience with ASPICE-compliant processes and AUTOSAR software stack (Classic ).
- Strong knowledge of software configuration management, release engineering, and defect management tools (IMS, JIRA, Polarion, Git).
- Demonstrated experience with Software Gates & Quality Gates review processes.
- Experience in leading functional teams and mentoring junior engineers.
- Strong stakeholder engagement, problem-solving, and communication skills in international team environments.
