Trick Dog Technology is seeking an experienced Nortel CS2100 Softswitch Engineer to support an active migration from a legacy Nortel voice environment to Cisco collaboration technologies. The engineer will assist with reviewing the existing environment, validating configurations, supporting migration planning, and helping execute the transition to Cisco voice infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
- Provide hands-on engineering support for Nortel CS2100 softswitch environments
- Review and validate existing voice architecture and routing configurations
- Assist with dial plan analysis and mapping from Nortel to Cisco platforms
- Support migration planning, cutover preparation, and transition activities
- Troubleshoot issues related to SIP signaling, call routing, and media gateways
- Collaborate with customer engineers and Cisco teams during migration phases
- Provide documentation and guidance to ensure a smooth transition to Cisco voice infrastructure
Requirements:
- Direct experience working on Nortel CS2100 softswitch platforms
- Strong understanding of SIP signaling, call routing, and carrier-style voice networks
- Experience working with media gateways and IP-based voice infrastructure
- Background supporting voice system migrations or telephony infrastructure transitions
- Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment
