Senior Software Engineer

Nectar Social is building an AI-native social operating system that transforms how brands engage with communities. They are seeking a Senior Staff Software Engineer to architect and scale core systems, drive technical strategy, and mentor engineers while operating with broad scope and autonomy.

Responsibilities:

• Architect and scale core systems
• Design and build the systems that ingest and process large volumes of social data from platforms like Instagram, TikTok, X, Reddit, and LinkedIn
• Drive technical strategy and architecture
• Lead major technical decisions across the platform
• Write design docs, evaluate infrastructure and tooling choices, and establish scalable patterns as our systems and engineering team grow
• Build systems that scale 10–100x
• Improve reliability, performance, and cost efficiency across our data and AI pipelines as we onboard more customers and dramatically increase data volume
• Raise the engineering bar
• Mentor engineers, review system designs and code, and help establish engineering culture, best practices, and operational standards
• Operate with full ownership
• Work closely with product and engineering leadership to solve complex problems and ship systems that directly impact customers
