CinemaPlus is The Operating System for Modern Cinema™, dedicated to enhancing customer engagement and streamlining operations for theaters. The Support Engineer will manage exhibitor support requests, build improvements in the development environment, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate with engineering on core development.
Responsibilities:
- Own exhibitor support requests end-to-end: intake → clarify → estimate → implement → test → deliver
- Build exhibitor-specific improvements in our dev environment (custom pages, custom messaging, configuration changes, small enhancements)
- Troubleshoot issues and ship fixes that improve reliability and user experience
- Communicate clearly with clients on status, timelines, and next steps (written + occasional calls)
- Assist with QA/testing (repro steps, regression checks, validation before release)
- Collaborate with engineering/product on escalations and contribute to core development as needed
Requirements:
- Hands-on experience with Laravel/PHP (work experience or strong portfolio/projects)
- Comfortable with full stack basics: HTML/CSS/JavaScript, APIs, and databases (MySQL preferred)
- Strong debugging skills: able to diagnose issues, propose solutions, and verify outcomes
- Able to work independently, manage a queue of requests, and prioritize effectively
- Clear communicator who can work with non-technical stakeholders and document changes
- Experience in technical support, implementations, or customer-facing engineering
- Familiarity with ticketing workflows and SLAs (Jira, Zendesk, Linear, Shortcut, etc.)
- Experience with testing practices (checklists, regression testing, basic automated tests)
- Comfort working in a remote-first team environment
