Trajectory Recruiting is seeking a high-caliber Senior Project Manager to lead a critical Private Markets workstream within a massive, multi-year enterprise Data and Technology Modernization Initiative. This leadership position involves overseeing the implementation of data and technology for pre-investment activities across multiple asset classes, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities and business objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Provide overall accountability for the planning, execution, and monitoring of the initiative, ensuring consistent alignment with strategic priorities and business objectives
- Provide structured oversight of Implementation Partners and Platform Vendors. You will manage complex integrations, data migrations, and cross-module dependencies
- Act as a trusted advisor and primary liaison between leadership teams and vendor partners, facilitating discussions and managing complex escalations
- Forecast long-term resource needs, manage multi-million dollar budgets, and ensure financial discipline throughout the project lifecycle
- Establish a proactive risk management culture, identifying early-warning mechanisms for data quality, legacy conversion, and system performance
- Partner with change management teams to implement robust strategies, ensuring organizational readiness and a smooth transition to new systems
Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience managing large-scale, cross-functional initiatives with multi-year durations and budgets exceeding $5M
- 8+ years of experience managing or supporting Private Markets platforms (Private Equity, Debt, Real Estate, and/or Infrastructure)
- 8+ years of experience managing system integrations and complex transformation initiatives
- 8+ years of experience leading across a matrixed organizational structure and presenting to executive-level sponsors
- 7+ years of experience managing relationships with external vendors, implementation partners, and subcontractors
- Certifications: PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP)
- Specialized Expertise: CFA or CAIA designations
- Platform Familiarity: Experience with tools such as SimCorp, Burgiss, DealCloud, Chronograph, or Dynamo
- Technical Tools: Proficiency in Jira, Tableau, or Power BI for real-time executive reporting
