GeoMarvel is an award-winning geospatial software development and GIS solution service provider. They are seeking a passionate and experienced GIS Enterprise Solution Engineer to implement and maintain GIS infrastructure, advise clients on best practices, and lead discussions and trainings to enhance client knowledge and GIS proficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Engage with managed services clients on a regular basis, providing technical recommendations while fostering organizational GIS growth and system stability
- Strategize recommendations to improve client environments, including the design of appropriate architecture patterns that best fit client needs
- Communicate effectively with internal and external teams to provide regular project updates
- Lead administrative tasks including security checks, system monitoring setup, conducting health checks, and, implementing scheduled tasks
- Advise on best practices for data and imagery services, Portal user/group management, enterprise geodatabase strategies
- Collaborate internally to develop technical recommendations documents, standard operating procedures, and training/demo materials to present to clients
Requirements:
- A Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Geographic Information Systems, Geographic Information Science, Information Technology, or Computer Information Systems from an accredited University, or a current equivalent GIS professional certification
- A minimum of two years of professional experience, in addition to the education or experience requirements above, which demonstrates hands-on proficiency as a system administrator with a focus on GIS support
- A collaborative work ethic, the ability to work with multiple project managers, developers, and clients simultaneously
- Strong knowledge of the ArcGIS ecosystem and a well-rounded understanding of GIS
- Exceptional customer service orientation
- Excellent problem-solving, writing, interpersonal, presentation, and organizational skills

- Expertise with ArcGIS Enterprise installation/configuration/updates, system patching/maintenance, license renewals, and detail-oriented troubleshooting
- A well-rounded understanding of the ArcGIS ecosystem, including ArcGIS Enterprise/Online, ArcGIS Pro workflows, and the suite of commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) applications
- Firm foundation with various system architecture patterns, including single/multi-machine environments, on-prem/cloud implementations, hybrid, and high availability deployments
- Ability to effectively communicate complex technical solutions with both technical and non-technical audiences
- Experience with ArcGIS Server roles (Hosting, Image, GeoEvent, etc) installation, configuration, and architecture patterns
- Experience with Automation scripting (ArcGIS API for Python, Command line, etc..)
