Nelnet is a diversified and innovative company committed to enriching lives through the power of service. They are seeking a skilled Workday Operations Engineer to support and optimize their Workday system, ensuring seamless performance and integration within business operations.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and optimize Workday system performance, ensuring uptime and reliability
- Troubleshoot and resolve Workday-related technical issues and service requests
- Manage and coordinate Workday updates, releases, and enhancements in coordination with HR, Finance, IT teams and other Stakeholders
- Develop and support Workday integrations with third-party systems
- Ensure compliance with security policies and data governance best practices
- Collaborate with stakeholders to improve workflows and system efficiencies
- Provide training and technical support for users
- Follow change control policies and procedures for application migrations from non-production to production environments
- Minor programming and development
- Participate in internal and external audits and produce audit documentation and reports as necessary
- Provide excellent customer service
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years' experience as a Business, Systems or Technical Analyst required
- US citizenship is required to obtain security clearance
- Experience with Workday system administration, configurations, and integrations required
- Experience with Accounting, Finance, Budgeting, HRMS, ITIL applications required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels of the organization
- Proficient troubleshooting skills and ability to analyze system performance
- Strong consensus building, multi-tasking, and interpersonal skills
- Willingness and ability to quickly learn new technologies and business functions
- Excellent coordination, documentation and organization skills
- Effectively cope with change, shift gears comfortably, decide and act without having the total picture and comfortable with ambiguity
- Self-directed and highly motivated
- Ability to perform effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Knowledge of Workday Studio, EIBs, APIs, and web services is a plus
