YASSI is a profitable, fast-growing startup building next-generation vehicle and driver information systems for businesses. They are hiring a Senior Product Manager to drive strategic initiatives across their data platform, focusing on expanding their footprint in auto insurance underwriting and claims workflows.
Responsibilities:
- Translate YASSI's product vision into actionable roadmaps and feature sets
- Conduct ongoing competitive analysis and benchmarking to inform strategy, identify whitespace, and strengthen product positioning
- Own the product development lifecycle from ideation to launch, ensuring alignment with company goals and user needs
- Prioritize initiatives that balance customer impact, technical feasibility, and long-term platform differentiation
- Define clear success metrics and lead cross-functional teams through launch and iteration cycles
- Lead product strategy for insurance-specific use cases, including underwriting risk assessment, claims investigation, fraud detection, salvage workflows, and subrogation opportunities
- Engage directly with enterprise insurance carriers, MGAs, TPAs, and claims organizations to understand underwriting workflows, pain points, and integration needs, expanding on the original responsibility to "Engage directly with enterprise customers to understand workflows, pain points, and integration needs."
- Monitor regulatory and industry trends to identify emerging product opportunities, including DOI regulations, salvage title rules, and claims compliance requirements
- Champion the voice of the customer in roadmap and design decisions
- Collaborate with engineering to scope and deliver scalable solutions
- Partner with sales, marketing, operations, and customer success to drive adoption and retention
- Contribute to release planning, documentation, and internal enablement
Requirements:
- 7+ years of product management experience in SaaS or data platforms
- Proven success delivering enterprise-grade solutions
- Experience with usage-based pricing models and expansion revenue strategies
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders
- Extensive knowledge of auto insurance underwriting and claims, including: Risk evaluation and rating factors, Claims lifecycle (FNOL through settlement), Total loss, salvage, and subrogation workflows, Fraud indicators and investigative processes
- Hands-on experience building or managing products used by insurance carriers, MGAs, TPAs, or claims organizations
- Background in auto, financial services, or regulatory tech is a plus
