The Boeing CompanyBoeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is currently seeking a Associate or Experienced Quality Production Specialist (Variable Shift) (Level 2 or 3) to join our Quality Team in North Charleston, SC!
The Quality Production Specialist develops and administers the quality system that ensures and manages the integrity of company products and services related to 787 Aircraft. Individual will perform activities associated with developing and maintaining the documentation to support the delivery of 787 product to our airline customers. In this role, candidate will be expected to: collaborate and communicate with internal and external stakeholders, including Operations, Quality, Sales, Contracts, Program Management, and airlines customers.
Primary Responsibilities:
Assists with review and validation of product non-conformances and disposition type, quality procedures and engineering requirements.
Supports analysis to identify and evaluate the quality of products, operations and processes.
Participates in the investigation to determine root cause of nonconformance of plans.
Ability to apply basic knowledge of aerospace design, systems and integration to perform failure and forensic analysis of aerospace components and systems.
Gathers data and provides recommendations/solutions to nonconformance of plans, products or processes.
Assists with the development, modification and documentation of actions to assure problem resolution or to implement corrective/preventive action.
Assists in obtaining corrective action on nonconforming plans and hardware/processes and submits for review.
Supports concurrence and obtains commitments to support program resolution.
Participates and observes the validation associated with corrective action to assure nonconformance has been eliminated.
Verifies internal replication systems adhere to Company and regulatory standards and procedures.
Creates airplane specific airborne software packages.
Conducts audits to ensure media is stored and handled per engineering defined requirements.
Assists in the creation of reports and coordinates with the responsible parties for internal distribution.
Works under general supervision.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):
1+ years of experience in taking data and deriving meaningful information through analysis and data visualization
1+ years of experience in root cause analysis and corrective action
1+ years of experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
1+ years of experience with Velocity and other 787 production applications
1+ years of experience in Quality Management Systems (QMS)
Must be willing to work a variable shift
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
3+ more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience working with Material Review Segregation Area (MRSA) activities
Experience in performing Material Review Board (MRB) product review
Material Review Board Designee (MRBD) authority or ability to obtain within 6 months
Experience working with CMES and Velocity
Experience working directly with suppliers
Experience in working defect reduction strategies within a cross-functional environment
Typical Education/Experience:
Associate (Level 2):
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 1 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Bachelor, 3 years' related work experience, etc.).
Experienced (Level 3):
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Bachelor+1 years' related work experience, 5 years' related work experience, etc.).
Shift: This position is variable shift, meaning you will be placed on a shift at time of hire based on business needs. You will remain on that shift until re-evaluation.

Level 3: $89,250 - $120,750
