The Role
Wood is currently recruiting for a Supplier Quality Surveillance - Project Coordinator to join our team. plays a key role in supporting the execution of supplier quality oversight for engineering and procurement projects. This role coordinates inspection activities, ensures project requirements are met by third‑party inspectors and suppliers, and maintains clear communication between internal teams, suppliers, inspectors, and clients.

Typical responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for scheduling, coordinating, and tracking supplier quality surveillance/inspection activities.
- Review project documentation (e.g., ITPs, PO requirements, specifications) to determine inspection scope and staffing needs.
- Coordinate inspector assignments based on qualifications, project needs, availability, and geographic considerations.
- Manage day‑to‑day communication between suppliers, inspection agencies, inspectors, and project teams.
- Track inspection progress, ensure timely reporting, and monitor deliverables such as SQS reports, NCRs, and Inspection Releases.
- Support the development and maintenance of supplier quality metrics, KPIs, and project status updates.
- Assist with problem‑solving related to supplier delays, documentation issues, or inspection nonconformities.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, project requirements, and client expectations.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the Supplier Quality Organization.

Expected:
- Experience in supply chain, quality, engineering, procurement, or project coordination (typically 5+ years).
- Strong organizational and time‑management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; comfortable interacting with suppliers, inspectors, and internal project teams.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Outlook, Teams) and comfort with tracking tools/databases.
- Ability to interpret or understand basic technical documents such as ITPs, POs, drawings, and specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow structured processes.
Desirable:
- Experience in oil & gas, energy, industrial equipment, EPC, or fabrication environments.
- Prior exposure to Supplier Quality Surveillance or third‑party inspection workflows.
- Familiarity with inspection agencies, inspector qualifications, or ASME/API/ISO quality requirements.
- Knowledge of project systems such as SharePoint, or inspection management tools.
- Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in engineering, quality, supply chain, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
