Technician 1 - 2nd Shift 
 

 

We are looking for a Coating Technician for our Wixom, MI facility. In this role you will work in a self-directed capacity in a changing environment. This role involves learning to operate and perform daily checks on all coating‑related equipment to standards including coating, degassing, cleaning, blasting, and stripping systems. The technician will rely on their training and experience to make informed decisions throughout both front‑end and back‑end processing. These responsibilities are central to ensuring safe, efficient, and consistent production operations.

Your Responsibilities:

 

• Interact with customers and co-workers in a ‘customer-friendly’ manner.
• Keep 6S on track.
• Basic SAP operation (post operations and checking orders)
• Fixturing tools for loading batches (prepare the batches according to standard)
• De-fixture Load
• Perform fixtures maintenance according with the Standards.
• Clean, and store used fixtures (keeping them under properly maintenance)
• Read and fill in task log as needed (PCC’s or batch information)
• Operate, daily checks and Changeover Stripping system.
• Operate, daily checks and Changeover Blasting Machine (pre and post treatment processes)
• Support service tech when requested.

 

Your Profile:

 

• High School graduate or GED
• Must be able to work 2nd shift (Monday-Friday 3:00pm to 11:30pm).
• Must be comfortable working with hands and be able to lift 44lbs.
• Individual must have strong work ethic, be high-energy, and detail oriented.
• Commits to corporate core values, goals, mission, and vision.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• A positive attitude.
• Good Attendance.
• Basic technical knowledge
