RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Understand the terminology of the truck business and keep abreast of changes in product technology, incoming inventory, features, accessories, etc.
- Provides thorough product information and demonstration to all prospects.
- Knows and understands the federal, state, and local laws that govern retail vehicle sales.
- Turn closed deals over to the finance and insurance manager and present properly completed paperwork (i.e., insurance information, trade title, etc.).
- Prepare sold vehicles for customer delivery (i.e., cleans vehicles, fills fuel tank, and ensures all features are operational) before customer arrival.
- Deliver vehicles to customers, ensuring that the customer understands the vehicle's operating features, warranty, and paperwork.
- Introduce customers to service department personnel to emphasize to them the quality and efficiency of service repairs and maintenance available in the dealership's service department.
- Follow up on all post-delivery items, tag/title work, "we-owes", and special requests to be sure that all customer expectations are met.
- Works with the service department and body shop to ensure that vehicles are properly reconditioned on schedule.
- Help with the used-vehicle inspection process.
- Maintain a professional business appearance.
- Write complete sales orders and process paperwork according to dealership policies.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Exhibits a high level of commitment to customer satisfaction.
- Strong negotiation and closing skills
- Proficient in basic computer skills, CRM software, and inventory management
- Have or be able to get a CDL.
- 2+ Years Sales Experience Preferred
