Work Schedule: Monday – Thursday; 4:00 pm- 2:00 am (38 hrs per week) 

Work Arrangement: On Site

Compensation

At S&C, we are dedicated to providing competitive and equitable compensation for all our team members, with a commitment to transparency in our pay practices. The hourly pay range for this position is $21.50 - $22.00. Individual pay within this range is determined by several compensable factors.

Join Our Team as a Machine Operator - Afternoon Shift (Summer Student)!

The Machine Operator is responsible for supporting daily operations by utilizing simple machinery. They ensure the necessary parts and materials are accounted for, with performing additional material handling tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operating and assisting with simple machinery
• Responsible for material handling and ensuring that that we have the necessary parts and materials according to the proper work orders
• Moving material using pump trucks and other devices
• Maintaining cleanliness of work area and follow organizational practices
• Other duties as assigned

What you’ll Need To Succeed:

• Is currently enrolled in a secondary or post-secondary institution (diploma or degree)
• Has strong mechanical/mathematical aptitude and manual dexterity
• Is detail oriented
• Has good communication skills with the ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Able to work in a fast-paced work environment with minimal supervision
• Able to lift up to 40 lbs

Physical Effort:

Normal or frequent minor physical effort required for the day-to-day activity in the workplace. May involve standing, sitting, walking, climbing stairs and lifting/moving/using objects or equipment up to 20lbs.

Work Environment:

Acceptable working environment with minor or almost no disagreeable or challenging working conditions as part of everyday expected levels (all jobs will occasionally experience undesirable or disagreeable events).
