The Project Manager is responsible for leading the planning, coordination and delivery of complex business systems and ICT projects to ensure successful implementation and achievement of agreed business outcomes. The role provides strong project governance, stakeholder engagement and delivery oversight to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope and aligned with organisational priorities and transformation objectives.
Requirements
What you'll do:
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of complex business systems and ICT projects, including solution design, implementation and transition into operational environments.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules and delivery frameworks to ensure effective project execution and control.
- Manage project scope, risks, issues, resources and timelines to ensure projects are delivered successfully and meet agreed objectives.
- Engage and collaborate with business stakeholders, subject matter experts, vendors and delivery teams to ensure business requirements are understood and effectively implemented.
- Provide strong project governance, including reporting on project progress, risks and outcomes to senior stakeholders.
- Facilitate effective communication across project teams and stakeholders to support informed decision making and project alignment.
- Support organisational change initiatives by ensuring new ICT capabilities are effectively integrated into business operations.
- Identify and manage legislative, regulatory or policy considerations relevant to project delivery and system implementation.
- Promote collaboration and teamwork across project participants to achieve high quality project outcomes.
- Ensure project documentation, processes and deliverables are maintained to a high professional standard.
What you'll bring:
- 5–10 years’ experience in dedicated project management roles delivering ICT or business systems projects.
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, frameworks and best practices, including project planning, governance, risk management and issue resolution.
- Demonstrated experience delivering complex projects within large or multi-stakeholder environments.
- Proven ability to lead project teams and coordinate across business, technical and vendor stakeholders.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills with the ability to build relationships across diverse organisational areas.
- Experience supporting organisational change initiatives associated with the introduction of new ICT capabilities.
- Ability to analyse and interpret complex legislative or regulatory requirements relevant to system implementation.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to translate technical information into clear business language.
- High level proficiency with project and business tools such as Microsoft Office, Microsoft Visio, JIRA and SharePoint.
- Experience working within complex ICT environments and familiarity with IT service management practices is desirable.
