Job Purpose
The role of Project Director is to deliver contractually required project outcomes, whilst maintaining or improving planned revenue, gross margin, and cash flow expectations as agreed and documented at contract award, and operating within the limits of delegated responsibility, accountability, and authority.
This position is for a particular upcoming project in Queensland in the Rail Systems space
Key Responsibilities
Ensuring the safety and health of our people is preserved, and that we bring no harm to the environment or the communities impacted by the project/s, which is achieved through active and visible leadership (measured through leading indicators such as Safety Leadership Score)
On time and on budget delivery
Managing all requirements of the various contracts related to the project/s (upstream, downstream and JVs)
Governance in accordance with UGL Transport's documented procedures, such as the project Gate reviews and monthly reporting requirements
Sourcing, engaging and managing the resources required to achieve the above
Preserving UGLT's reputation with the customer and other external stakeholders
Qualifications
Technical trade or tertiary qualification in engineering.
A minimum of 15 years’ demonstrable experience in, and sound understanding of, project management in a multi-disciplined production, manufacturing, maintenance or engineering environment.
Project Management qualification preferably AIPM certified Practicing Senior Project Director (CPPD), PMI certified Project Management Professional (PMP) or demonstrated equivalent experience.
Strong commercial acumen in a D&C environment.
