About this role
Technical Analyst – Post-Merger Integration (Hybrid: Business + Technical) About the Role We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Technical Analyst to support Post-Merger Integration (PMI) initiatives. This hybrid role combines strong domain understanding with hands on technical skills to independently discover and validate requirements, design clear frameworks, and develop execution plans. A core focus is to analyze the acquired company’s technology and process stack, map it to our ecosystem, and recommend the best integration approach. They will ensure outcomes are well-defined, feasible, measurable, and delivered on time.
Key Responsibilities
• PMI Discovery & Assessment: Rapidly inventory and assess the acquired company’s product, data, and process stack (applications, data models, APIs,integrations, workflows, SLAs), documenting current-state capabilities andconstraints.
•Stack Mapping & Alignment: Create detailed mappings from acquired systems toour platforms and processes, including data entities/attributes, interfacetouchpoints, roles/permissions, and operational handoffs; identify overlaps, gaps, and deprecation candidates.
•Integration Options & Recommendations: Propose integration patterns (e.g.,consolidate, federate, phase-and-bridge), articulate trade-offs, and recommendbest-path actions aligned to business outcomes, risk, cost, and timeline.
•Technical Decomposition: Translate target-state outcomes into epics, userstories, data contracts, and interface specifications; outline system interactions, dependencies, and non-functional requirements (performance, security, scalability, compliance).
•Requirement Gathering & Analysis: Lead structured discovery with stakeholdersto elicit, clarify, and document business needs and success metrics; convertambiguity into clear, testable, and technically feasible requirements.
• Frameworks & Documentation: Produce PMI-specific artifacts (current/targetstate diagrams, sequencing/transition plans, cutover runbooks, decision logs,RACI/DACI, prioritization matrices) to drive shared understanding and decisions.
•Execution Planning: Build and maintain integration plans with scope, milestones, dependency maps, risks/assumptions, and mitigation strategies; define and trackmeasurable outcomes and KPIs.
• Data Quality & Reconciliation: Partner with data teams to define reconciliationstrategies, data quality checks, and migration validation plans; ensure lineage andauditability across systems during transitions.
•Stakeholder Management: Manage stakeholder communication independentlyacross both organizations; facilitate workshops, align on scope and phasing, handletrade-offs, and maintain a consistent communication cadence.
• Status Reporting: Provide transparent, timely status updates and executivesummaries highlighting progress, decisions/asks, risks, and blockers. Expected Deliverables (PMI)
• Stack inventory and current-state assessment
• System and data mapping matrix (acquired â acquirer)
• Integration options summary with recommendations and trade-offs
• BRD/FRD and user stories with acceptance criteria
• Cutover plan and runbook, with risk/rollback considerations
• Reconciliation and validation plan with data quality checks

• 10+ years of overall experience in technology or product environments, including5+ years as a Technical Analyst (or similar) with hands-on experience inintegrations, re-platforming, or PMI
• Demonstrated ability to assess unfamiliar stacks and produce clear mappings to atarget ecosystem
• Domain-informed decision-making; can recommend integration approaches andtrade-offs during discovery/design

• Working style: Independent executor who drives clarity in ambiguous, fast-changing PMI contexts; concise communicator who surfaces risks early and proposes options; collaborative partner balancing business value, user impact, and technical feasibility.
•Tools: Salesforce (CRM), Snowflake (data platform), Jira (delivery), Confluence (documentation), and Lucidchart (flows/architecture). Also comfortable with Google Docs/Slides or Microsoft PowerPoint for presentations, and Sigma Computing or comparable lightweight dashboards/BI for metrics.
• Core practices: Executive-ready status updates, decision logs, RAID registers; disciplined backlog hygiene,
