GE Aerospace is a leading engineering organization in the aerospace sector, focused on product validation and testing. The Product Validation New Technology Introduction Program Integration Manager will lead planning and execution of testing activities, ensuring alignment with resource demands and strategic workforce plans.
Responsibilities:
- Provide programmatic planning and coordination throughout the planning and execution of testing, with a strong focus on schedules, resources, and execution excellence
- Partner with Operations and Finance to ensure alignment of testing plans and resource needs with the Long-Range Forecast (LRF), approved budgets and quarterly forecast
- Consolidate and validate project metrics and KPIs such as Schedule Performance Index (SPI), Cost Performance Index (CPI), On-Time Delivery (OTD), Estimate at Completion (EAC), and related indicators; provide input to project operating and financial cadence
- Establish cross-program Strategic Workforce Plans (SWP) for PV testing efforts and support hiring or redeployment of personnel to maintain and grow capability as required
- Champion the development of standard work to drive consistency in technical and programmatic planning and resourcing of testing activities, from early scoping of schedule and resources through daily management of instrumentation, assembly, integration, and testing
- Review derived product and system requirements for management of PV assets and ensure they are translated into actionable test and resource plans
- Contribute to PV capability improvement proposals and roadmaps aligned with program and business strategic objectives, including resourcing and schedule implications
- Determine specific expertise and capabilities needed to execute test requirements and coordinate resources and schedules across sites and teams to meet those requirements
- Provide forward-looking strategy and analytics for product validation and technology development, enabling PV to maintain a competitive advantage in schedule, cost, and capability
- Develop and manage program schedules and baselines that integrate test plans, resource availability, and budget constraints to meet business objectives
- Support risk and opportunity management, including risk and opportunity boards, and lead lead team execution to minimize program risk exposure related to schedule, capacity, and cost
- Support long-term strategic roadmaps for test capability, facilities, and instrumentation, providing schedule and cost estimates to senior leadership and external customers
- Use a high level of judgment to make decisions and handle complex tasks or problems in areas such as operations, product management, manufacturing, technology, or engineering. Assess the quality of information provided, ask pertinent questions from stakeholders, and construct well-founded recommendations. Use multiple internal and external sources, beyond the immediate function, to inform decisions
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Business from an accredited university or college
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in design, systems integration, test engineering, program management, or related technical roles
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the aerospace industry
- This role requires the successful candidate to maintain a US Government Security Clearance; prerequisite for a security clearance is U.S. Citizenship. Preference will be given to candidates who currently hold US Government Security Clearance
- Ability to travel out of state a minimum of 15% annually
- Master's degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university
- PMI or CAPM certification (or progress toward certification), with strong grounding in standard project management practices
- Demonstrated experience with Earned Value Management (EVM), including schedule and cost performance metrics
- Experience training or mentoring Control Account Managers (CAMs) on EVM, schedule, and cost management
- Experience applying program management development best practices (risk management, change control, and integrated planning)
- Experience planning / executing engine or component testing across GE Aerospace test sites (e.g., Evendale, Peebles, Winnipeg, Victorville)
