Lykos Energy, LLC is a trusted leader in the energy sector, specializing in battery energy storage systems. The Field Engineer is responsible for monitoring project activities, ensuring compliance with specifications, and training craft-level employees.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with all company safety policies and procedures
- Oversee daily substation construction activities, inspecting work quality including excavation, concrete, rebar, grounding, steel, wiring, and electrical checks
- Verify construction aligns with design documents; review inspection reports and resolve non-conformances
- Maintain key logs: material tracking, testing/inspection, concrete, and non-conformance
- Manage submittals, ensuring materials match approved specs and project schedules
- Perform basic surveying and verify line, grade, and dimensions
- Record and report daily progress, identifying and addressing deficiencies promptly
- Document approved field changes and maintain red-line drawings
- Coordinate closely with client quality staff to meet QA/QC standards
- Compile operations and maintenance manuals with key contacts and warranties
- Support punch list inspections and determine calibration status of testing equipment
- Collaborate with project managers and estimators on project support and future planning

- Read, analyze and interpret blueprints, technical procedures and safety rules
- Write daily reports and document project activities
- Effectively manage field data to assure activities are conforming to corporate Quality Control procedures. Ensures the effective implementation of the quality control program for assigned project task
- Calculate figures and amounts and able to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
- Associates or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil, Mechanical Engineering or related degree preferred
- Experience in related construction field is preferred
