Service Delivery Sr Manager - Application Engineering

Kforce Inc is seeking a Service Delivery Senior Manager for Application Engineering to oversee a portfolio of project services and solutions. This role focuses on delivering exceptional project outcomes and aligning project execution with business goals while mentoring team members and driving client satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

• Application Engineering Specialization: Apply technical expertise and industry knowledge to lead the successful delivery of complex projects, ensuring alignment with Application Engineering best practices
• Project & Portfolio Management: Manage a portfolio of Application Engineering projects, providing oversight and support to ensure successful delivery against scope, timeline, and budget. Facilitate risk management and mitigation strategies to maintain project momentum
• Team Leadership & Development: Mentor, motivate, and develop team members, boosting morale and maintaining a high level of employee satisfaction and retention. Foster skill development and career growth through structured guidance and support
• Client Relationship Management: Serve as a key point of contact for client engagements within Application Engineering, ensuring client satisfaction, managing expectations, and identifying opportunities for additional business
• Continuous Improvement: Drive delivery innovation within the Application Engineering practice area, implementing process improvements and best practices that optimize project execution and enhance team efficiency
• Technical and Solution Guidance: Provide direct technical support and guidance throughout project engagements, ensuring that solutions meet or exceed client expectations
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with other practice areas and business units to integrate solutions and contribute to comprehensive client strategies

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field
• 8+ years of experience leading technology teams and delivering Application Engineering solutions, with a strong track record in project delivery and client satisfaction
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, Python, C#, or JavaScript
• Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform, including cloud-native development and deployment
• Familiarity with modern development frameworks such as Spring, .NET Core, React, Angular, or Vue.js
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), infrastructure as code (Terraform), and automation tools (Jenkins, GitLab)
• Understanding of microservices architecture, event-driven design, and RESTful API development
• Experience with databases (SQL/NoSQL), data integration platforms, and data processing tools
• Understanding of application security principles, secure coding standards, and compliance frameworks
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and project management tools such as Jira or Confluence
