CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield is a healthcare organization seeking a Business Analyst within the Enterprise Architecture organization. The role involves supporting architecture governance operations, managing business process modeling activities, and enhancing governance frameworks across the enterprise.
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate and manage all operational aspects of the Architecture Review Board (ARB)
- Coordinate the Solution Review Group (SRG), including meeting logistics, agenda preparation, documentation, and follow-up actions
- Ensure timely tracking, assignment, and resolution of ARB/SRG action items, decisions, and escalations
- Serve as the central point of coordination between Enterprise Architects, business partners, project teams, and ARB delegates
- Maintain governance calendars, workflows, and review schedules to ensure predictable and efficient governance cycles
- Develop, maintain, and continuously improve ARB processes, operating procedures, decision frameworks, templates, and review artifacts
- Identify opportunities to streamline governance workflows, reduce bottlenecks, and increase transparency and effectiveness
- Collaborate with architects to implement governance best practices and ensure alignment with enterprise architecture standards and strategy
- Provide onboarding materials, training, and communication for governance participants
- Define, collect, maintain, and publish Enterprise Architecture metrics, dashboards, and reporting artifacts
- Work with domain architects and data stakeholders to establish meaningful KPIs that reflect architecture maturity, compliance, and value delivery
- Analyze trends and provide insights to EA leadership to support decision-making and continuous improvement
- Review business process models for quality, accuracy, adherence to modeling standards, and architectural alignment
- Provide feedback, coaching, and support to improve process modeling competencies across the enterprise
- Administer the process modeling tool (e.g., access management, repository hygiene, template management)
- Ensure process assets remain accurate, discoverable, and connected to architecture governance workflows as needed
- Identify opportunities to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of architecture governance, architecture enablement, and EA team operations
- Recommend improvements and support implementation of new tools, automation, and optimized workflows
- Participate in internal EA initiatives, working groups, and capability building activities
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science or related field OR in lieu of a Bachelor's degree, an additional 4 years of relevant work experience is required in addition to the required work experience
- 3 years experience in functional, operational, business, data, systems or testing analysis
- 2 years of experience in business analysis or related discipline (i.e., process design / improvement, IT governance, metrics / performance management)
- Strong time-management and organizational skill
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Ability to organize stakeholder meetings
- Microsoft Office applications usage
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without Sponsorship
- Experience using process modeling tools (i.e., Signavio)
