LHH is seeking a Business Systems Analyst to join their Data Services team, focusing on class action and mass-tort matters. The role involves supporting the full data lifecycle, translating functional requirements into technical specifications, and collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of projects.
Responsibilities:
- Understand case lifecycles and determine required data, business rules, and system impacts across class action/mass‑tort processes
- Translate functional requirements into clear technical specifications, data mappings, SQL‑driven logic, and ETL workflows
- Query, validate, and analyze data using tools like SQL Server, Excel, Access, and other internal systems
- Partner with Client Services, Technical PMs, Data Analysts, QC Analysts, and other BSAs to ensure smooth end‑to‑end execution
- Design testing strategies, support UAT exercises, and verify expected outcomes with QC teams
- Document processes, requirements, and project steps per departmental standards; maintain accurate time tracking and project logs
- Communicate professionally with internal teams, clients, and stakeholders, ensuring clarity, alignment, and timely updates
- Support production workflows, resolve data‑related questions, and contribute to continuous process improvement
Requirements:
- Experience as a Business Analyst, Data Analyst, Process Specialist, or similar requirements-gathering role
- Working knowledge of SQL (able to understand query logic, data structures, and write/interpret pseudocode)
- Strong critical-thinking skills with the ability to convert vague/complex business rules into precise, actionable requirements
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder-management skills; ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
- High attention to detail, strong process discipline, and comfort working in legally sensitive, accuracy-driven environments
- Proficiency with MS Office (especially Excel); familiarity with relational databases, ETL concepts, and data modeling preferred
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced settings with shifting priorities and tight deadlines
