Our client, Varmoda Tech LLC, is seeking an AWS DevOps Engineer responsible for designing, implementing, and operating cloud infrastructure for DOI wildfire operations. The engineer will develop automated infrastructure pipelines, scalable Kubernetes deployments, and secure cloud architectures compliant with FedRAMP High and FISMA High security controls.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement AWS cloud infrastructure supporting TAK Server deployment
- Architect scalable and resilient environments capable of supporting 8,000+ concurrent users
- Implement network segmentation, secure VPC architecture, and load balancing
- Develop automated infrastructure using:
- Terraform
- CloudFormation
- Ansible
- Maintain version-controlled infrastructure repositories
- Deploy TAK Server on Kubernetes clusters for high availability and auto-scaling
- Implement container orchestration and cluster management
- Optimize performance for streaming situational awareness data
- Implement CI/CD pipelines supporting secure TAK deployments
- Automate environment provisioning and configuration management
- Integrate DevSecOps security scanning into build pipelines
- Implement FedRAMP High and NIST 800-53 controls in the cloud environment
- Configure cloud monitoring and logging solutions
- Integrate SIEM and threat detection services
- Implement continuous monitoring and alerting for system health
- Configure automated scaling and failover mechanisms
- Ensure 99.9% uptime SLA for mission-critical operations
- Design automated backup strategies and disaster recovery procedures
- Maintain recovery time objectives (RTO) and recovery point objectives (RPO)
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years cloud infrastructure engineering
- 3+ years AWS DevOps or platform engineering
- Experience supporting FedRAMP or government cloud environments
- AWS GovCloud architecture
