Hyland is a corporate leader in the industry, seeking a Sales Development Representative 1 to focus on outreach prospecting and lead qualification. The role involves maintaining contact with prospects, generating new leads, and facilitating the transition of leads to account managers.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in discovery calls with account managers to qualified lead prospects to gather information educate on basic product offerings and determine viability of a sale
- Maintain purposeful regular contact with identified prospects to add value and drive sale forward; regular contact includes emails phone calls and other relevant activities
- Generate new qualified lead prospects by developing a target list of customers and executing calling and email campaigns
- Participate in events; make contact with potential customers at trade show booth and ensure proper lead follow up after the show
- Update all internal systems on all activities
- Introduce account manager to potential customer when moved from lead to genuine sales opportunity; transition all important customer information to Account Manager
- Review and evaluate requests for proposals; assist prospects with drafting appropriate documentation
- Leverage multi-tactical technology stack
- Partner with field reps and cross-functional teams and departments to develop targeted campaigns
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Experience as a Sales Associate
- Inside sales experience
- Speak or write with ease, clarity and impact using a communication style appropriate to the subject and the audience
- Able to thrive in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
- Demonstrated ability to establish rapport and gain the trust of others
- Microsoft Windows and Office proficient
- Solid business acumen
- Self-motivated with high energy and an engaging level of enthusiasm
- Able to thoroughly investigate situations or issues to get relevant information; adept at asking probing questions to successfully obtain quality information
- Sharp fast learner with a curiosity for technology as well as aptitude
- Up to 5% travel time required
