Design Citizen is a human-centered talent agency working with organizations to create innovative solutions through design. They are seeking a UX Researcher to support digital initiatives, conducting research that shapes patient and healthcare experiences by uncovering user needs and translating insights into meaningful designs.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and conduct qualitative and mixed-method studies across multiple product areas and audiences
- Recruit participants, design protocols, and lead sessions using interviews, usability tests, surveys, and diary studies
- Synthesize complex data into clear, actionable insights that influence product strategy and design decisions
- Create reports, share-outs, and storytelling artifacts that bring the voice of the user to life
- Partner closely with product managers, designers, and engineers to ensure research aligns with business and user goals
- Advocate for user needs while balancing business and technical constraints
- Contribute to research operations and knowledge management practices that make insights easy to find and reuse
- Present findings confidently across teams, adapting language and depth for different audiences
Requirements:
- 4–6 years of professional experience conducting UX research for digital products or services
- Proven ability to independently plan, execute, and synthesize qualitative or mixed-method research
- Strong communication skills and the ability to distill complex findings into simple, actionable insights
- Understanding of usability, accessibility, and inclusive design principles
- Familiarity with tools such as User Testing, Maze, Optimal Workshop, or similar
- Experience working in regulated or healthcare environments is a plus, but not required
